By plane.

The closest airport is Venice - Marco Polo (VCE) (www.veniceairport.it).
From there you can reach Padova by taxi, shuttle, train or coach:

Taxi/Shuttle is the most expensive but fast solution. The Air Service provides direct transfer between VCE airport and Padova. You need to book in advance.

Coach: bus service is operated by SITA. Departures are every 30 minutes from just beside airport entrance hall. To reach DEI ask driver to stop at the "ex-FIAT" bus stop

Train: reach the Mestre-Venice railway station by ACTV bus n. 15. Then, take the train to Padova (see the Trenitalia web site, www.trenitalia.comfor the timetable). The trip is around 30 minutes.

By train

See the Trenitalia web site (www.trenitalia.com) fot the routes and timetables. From Padova railway station you can reach the Department either by taxi, bus, or on foot:

• Taxi: the taxi parking is in front of padova railway station. It takes approximately 20 minutes.
• Bus: From Padua train station take APS bus number 18 and stop at "ex-FIAT"/Portello.
• On foot: it takes aprox 20 minutes on foot from the railway central station.

By car

From A4 highway exit to "Padova Est". Take the left lane and follow the indications for "Fiera di Padova" or "City Downtown". The street leads you to a huge roundabout with trafficlights and six streets and the Hotel Biri on your right. Leave the roundabout at the third exit. Make a right turn at the small roundabout and enter Via Gradenigo. After 300 meters, you will find DEI on your left-hand side.

How to reach our offices and labs

When you arrive on the entrance gate of the Department, you will see a 4-floor building. Cross the gate and go straight, leaving the building to your left, until you see a parking lot on your right. The building in front of the parking lot is DEI. Once entered the building, follow the aisle till you will reach the elevator. Go to the first floor. Enter the door on your right and you are arrived!
